Quincy, Mass. – A team of Best of Care home health aides successfully completed a two-session Alzheimer’s training course. The course, presented by a Best of Care RN, focused on tips and tools that caregivers can employ when caring for a person with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Topics ranged from identifying symptoms, habilitation therapy, communication, approaching personal care and working with families. The aides took quizzes throughout the training sessions to ensure retention of knowledge. Due to the extensive amount of service that Best of Care provides to the Alzheimer’s and dementia population, it is important that our staff members continue to receive education and training. We believe that this training program reflects our agency’s willingness to guarantee the right caregiver match for all of the individuals we serve.
